New Lloyd Event Parking District

Beginning September 1, 2022, the Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) will be implementing a new Lloyd Event Parking District on event days with over 10,000 attendees.

When in effect, the Event District will increase the on-street parking rate from $1 an hour to $3 an hour and extend the meter hours up to 10 PM within the Lloyd Event District area (the light blue area on the map below). On non-event days, the on-street parking rate will be $1 an hour with meter hours ending at 6 PM in the entire Lloyd Event District area.

An increase in price for on-street parking encourages people traveling to Lloyd for large events to use public transit, ride bikes, carpool, or take other modes of transportation besides driving alone. (Did you know that an Adult Day Pass for TriMet only costs $5?) This reduces traffic congestion for everyone traveling around Lloyd, lowers vehicle emissions, improving air quality, and makes it easier for residents to find on-street parking.

Lloyd Residents

If you are a full-time resident living within the Lloyd Event District area as of September 1, 2022, you can register one vehicle with PBOT for the Lloyd Event Resident Courtesy List. Through August 31, 2023, vehicles on this courtesy list will avoid receiving a parking meter nonpayment citation when the Event District is in effect.

Eligible residents must complete the Lloyd Event Resident Courtesy List Vehicle Information Form by September 30, 2022 to avoid receiving a citation when the Event District is in effect.
