Join Lloyd EcoDistrict and SOLVE volunteers for an Earth Month cleanup at Peace Memorial Park. These events are centered in the park and extend into nearby areas including the Eastbank Esplanade, Duckworth Dock, Moda Center, and the Oregon Convention Center. Volunteers will help with trash removal, park beautification, and painting over or removing graffiti throughout the area.
Peace Memorial Park, located at the intersection of NE Oregon Street and NE Lloyd Boulevard, is connected to the Eastbank Esplanade and offers sweeping views of the Willamette River and downtown skyline. Established to honor victims of war, both military and civilian, the park is an important public space that benefits from ongoing community care.
Advanced registration is required to participate. Volunteers are encouraged to wear closed toed shoes, dress for the weather, and bring a reusable water bottle. A backpack is recommended for hands free convenience, and personal tools are welcome if available. All cleanup supplies, including safety vests, gloves, litter grabbers, paint, and graffiti removal materials, will be provided, along with water and snacks.
Peace Memorial Park is less than a five minute walk from the Rose Quarter MAX Station, and walking or biking is encouraged. Metered street parking and private lots are available nearby. The site is accessible for people with mobility concerns. Please note that no public restrooms will be available on site. All ages are welcome to participate.
