Park(ing) Day is a global project aimed at repurposing curbside parking spaces by converting them into social spaces, advocating for greener and more equitable streets for people. This year’s theme is Micro Acts of Civil Joy, celebrating small, joyful disruptions in the face of oversized authority.
Go Lloyd will be participating by occupying three curbside parking spaces in Hassalo Plaza, and turning it into a transit advocacy space, aiming to take polls of how individuals get around Lloyd, while informing them of ways to overcome transportation barriers within the city. Check out our spaces from 11 AM - 1 PM and contribute to an interactive art project curated by us. Stay and hang out with free lunch and coffee, and read through a variety of recent news articles to stay up to date on Portland’s transportation matters.
