Share Your Thoughts on Moda Center Improvements

The Moda Center is a staple of Lloyd, home to the Portland Trail Blazers and Portland Fire, and the largest arena in Oregon. However, the Moda Center has not been updated in 30 years and is long overdue for renovations to meet the needs of visitors, workers, and large-scale events. Investing in the revitalization of the Moda Center could in turn help revitalize the neighborhood and create further opportunities for community partnerships.

One of the most distinct issues with the Moda Center is where the investment money will come from. The renovations consist of a $573 million deal with a 20-year lease, outlined by Portland Mayor Keith Wilson, Multnomah County Chair Jessica Vega Pederson, and the Blazer’s new owners. The City of Portland and Mayor Wilson have proposed a $120 million contribution, with the rest coming from the State of Oregon and Multnomah County.

The City of Portland wants your input on the decisions being made around renovation priorities, and how this project will be funded. Take the online survey to weigh in.
