Join our community partners, the Lloyd EcoDistrict, for the unveiling of the first phase of the Keaton Otis Memorial Art Project on Monday, September 12 from 5 to 8 PM at the intersection of NE Halsey Street & NE 6th Avenue in Lloyd.

The project, conceptualized and led by artist Sharita Towne, uses kintsugi—a Japanese art form for mending and repairing broken ceramics—to fill the cracks in the street with gold. Volunteers and artists have been filling the cracks in the street where Keaton was fatally shot.

This outdoor, family-friendly event will include speeches and performances as the community comes together to celebrate and honor Keaton’s life.
